The winner of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction 2025 will be announced on Thursday, April 24. On that day, a panel of Arabists will discuss the shortlisted novels. The panel includes:

  • Haneen Omari, assistant professor at Leiden University
  • Rehab Chaker, translator and literature specialist
  • Djûke Poppinga, translator of more than fifty Arabic novels.
  • Moderator: Caroline Roset, Arabic teacher at the UvA.

This meeting is open to anyone interested in contemporary Arabic literature. The working language is a mix of English and Dutch.
