Regulations on fieldwork/research activities outside the UvA
Teaching and research activities conducted outside UvA buildings and grounds, i.e. fieldwork, are governed by a set of university- wide regulations.
Fieldwork includes all practical research (and teaching) activities that take place outside the buildings and grounds of the UvA and under the authority of the UvA. These activities include work duties (including visits to conferences or research institutes abroad), work placements and excursions within and outside the Netherlands. Students, employees and volunteers who perform fieldwork do so under the responsibility of the UvA.The regulations have been adopted to ensure adequate preparation and healthy, safe fieldwork.
