This month, Mark and Agnes from Van Gisteren will discuss the publication of their new book Verzetsvrouwen. In this book the historians reconstruct the lives of ten women who resisted the Nazis. The authors investigate the networks in which these women operated and reveal how they were – or were not – included in historical accounts. Who received recognition, and who did not? Through ten poignant portraits, they challenge the persistent narrative that resistance work during the Second World War was primarily carried out by men and pay tribute to the many forgotten women of the underground movement.

Registration for this event is not necessary.
