Junia Kattrup is a PhD Candidate in Religious Studies . In their project, which is supervised by Prof. Dr. Daniëlle Slootjes, Dr. Dylan Burns, and Dr. Liana Saïf, they investigate the coptic texts attributed to Agathonicus of Tarsus in their material context of the 6th to 11th century and how the cultural contexts in which the texts were copied have influenced their transmission.
Before they started their PhD research, Junia studied Theology at Aarhus University in Denmark, where they wrote their Master's Thesis on the reception of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba in 10th century coptic poetry.
