Course description

Content

In all courses the students practise the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) while working on language tasks, at the same time learning about the Dutch and their culture.

Class themes

The course activities center around functional language tasks. They are directly linked to every-day situations such as 'having a conversation with people on the street'.
The objectives of the courses correspond to the different levels of the Common European Framework of Reference, A1-A2 taking the student to ‘basic user’, B1-B2 to ‘independent user’.

Assignments

To be able to complete the course successfully, students have to take one or two 3 hour classes plus at leat 3 hours of self study per class. All courses are offered as seminars and are concluded by a written exam. Students wishing to obtain credits for a course have to pass the exam

Lecturers

The INTT only hires qualified teachers of Dutch as a second language with a lot of experience in teaching students and academics.
