Dr. Corina L. Apostol is an Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in social practice within contemporary art and culture. She serves as the Associate Producer of 'CULTUS' (2022-2024) by artist Zach Blas, a project examining artificial intelligence, spirituality, and the technological culture of Silicon Valley.

In her role with the 'Beyond Matter' project (2020–23), Dr. Apostol served both as a curator and a steering committee member. This project focuses on the intersection of cultural heritage and virtual reality. In this framework, Dr. Apostol co-edited the book Immerse, which critically examines how computer-generated public spaces shape contemporary political and social discourses.

In 2022, she curated the Estonian Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale, presenting 'Orchidelirium: An Appetite for Abundance' in the Dutch Rietveld Pavilion. This exhibition offered a critical examination of botanical art, colonial histories, race and gender, connecting themes across Indonesia, Estonia, and the Netherlands. Her previous roles include serving as a curator at the Tallinn Art Hall in Estonia from 2019 to 2023 and as a guest lecturer at the Art Academy of Latvia from 2021 to 2023. In 2019, Dr. Apostol curated the Shelter Festival in Helsinki, focusing on cosmopolitics and communal spaces in the age of the Anthropocene.'During her Mellon Fellowship at Creative Time (2017–19), she co-edited Making Another World Possible: 10 Creative Time Summits, 10 Global Issues, 100 Art Projects (Routledge, 2019) and co-curated the Creative Time Summit in Miami titled 'On Archipelagoes and Other Imaginaries.

She obtained her Ph.D. from Rutgers University, where she was also the Curatorial Fellow at the Zimmerli Art Museum (2010–16), organizing exhibitions of Soviet Nonconformist Art from the Dodge Collection. Dr. Apostol was awarded the apexart 2022–23 exhibition competition in New York for her project 'Flora Fantastic. She is the co-editor of Oliver Ressler: Barricading the Ice Sheets (Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, 2023) and is currently coediting Flora Fantastic: From Orchidelirium to Eco-Critical Art, scheduled for publication in 2024 by Routledge.
