His main research topics are the works of Italo Calvino, but he has also worked (extensively) on topics such as (Italian feminist) science fiction, reception and circulation of literary works, translation, the relation between science and literature and between the Humanities and Natural Sciences, as well as on works of Behrouz Boochani, Giacomo Leopardi, Dante Alighieri and others. Forthcoming are a translation in Dutch of Calvino’s Invisible Cities (together with Linda Pennings) and an edited volume on the reception and translation of Invisible Cities around the world (together with Cecilia Schwartz).
