Working at the intersection of critical cultural studies and media anthropology, his research focuses on processes of normalization and the shifting visibility of marginalized identities in contemporary television and cross-media culture. His previous work on reality TV participants, disability representations and the mediatization of coming out had been published in European Journal of Cultural Studies, Media, Culture & Society, Television & New Media, and Critical Studies in Television. His current project examines the mediatization and the gendered politics of assisted reproductive technologies.
