Demetra is a sex worker, activist and owner of one of the oldest brothels in Athens. By following her everyday life for twelve years, the camera chronicles the way Demetra’s professional and personal life has changed due to the financial crisis. Getting to know Demetra, we are confronted with stereotypes about sex and personal choice. However, the film is not a issue driven documentary. Rather, it is an attempt to draw a portrait of an independent woman whose life has been marked by loss but who still remains passionate and lovable.
