In light of the Special Issue on The Queerness of Babies of the Psychoanalysis, Culture & Society journal, co-edited by Misha Kavka and Diego Semerene, the Queer Analysis research group welcomes psychoanalyst Marie Couvert, one of the contributors to the Special Issue and a leading theorist on the clinic of babies, for a workshop on the theory of drives (from Freud to Lacan and beyond). The workshop will be preceded by a panel with Couvert, Kavka, Semerene, and respondent Samuel Ludmila Feline Constantin (PhD candidate on the Trans-Sexualities & Psychoanalysis project at the UvA), where we will stage an encounter of Queer Theory and Trans Theory with Psychoanalysis through the figure of the baby.
