Decolonial Meridians – Research Group Relaunch
We are pleased to announce the relaunch of Decolonial Meridians: Art and Thought from the Global South, a research group initiated by the ERC project Entangled Freedoms and led by Sanjukta Sunderason. The group brings together researchers and students interested in artistic, cultural, political, and historical thought from the Global South, with a focus on decolonial perspectives and transregional conversations. In the coming year, the group also aims to become a home within the Faculty of Humanities for conversations that connect art and aesthetics, political thought, and post-colonial histories, in relation to the university’s Research Priority Area Decolonial Futures.
The meeting will be an opportunity to introduce the aims of the group, meet new members, and begin discussing shared research interests and possible activities for the meetings ahead. All are welcome; whether you’re curious, committed, or somewhere in between.
