Event details of Writing violence seminar
Date
16 September 2025
Time
11:00 -13:00
Room
Room F.001

During this session, we'll provide a brief recap on last year's sessions so that anyone new to join can feel fully up to speed :) Remember writing violence isn't only about direct violence, but also about working with memories, polarization and other forms of conflict, as well as more generally writing within climates that can be hostile or challenging for our mental health. You're all very welcome to join us!

During this upcoming session we'd also like to check-in with you on your writing needs and will of course provide prompts to write with. The focus of this session will be on 'how to keep writing' - dealing with triggers, stressors and the pressure to produce.

The workshop is open to all research staff, from PhD to full professor, and it operates under the Chatham house rules (what you share will not be shared any further).

Please feel free to peruse the previous session's materials here.
