This academic year, the GameLab will be run as a tutorial for Research Master students. ASCA members are welcome to join. We plan to have five sessions during the fall semester.
Please sign up through this form.
During our first session, we will try to define “video games” and study approaches to the aesthetic and narrative analysis of video games.
The readings are:

- Salen, Katie and Eric Zimmerman. “Defining Games” and “Defining Digital Games.” Rules of Play: Game Design Fundamentals. MIT Press 2004, 71-91.
The readings can be found in this UvA OneDrive folder.
