Emelia Quinn is Assistant Professor of World Literatures & Environmental Humanities at the University of Amsterdam.

Her research establishes the emergent field of vegan theory and its intersections with queer theory, animal studies, ecocriticism, and postcolonial studies. She is published in PMLA, Sculpture Journal, Journal of Commonwealth Literature, and Society & Animals. Her monograph, Reading Veganism: The Monstrous Vegan, 1818 to Present was published with Oxford University Press in September 2021.
