In this third iteration of the reading group, we will survey key moments from the history of the Black radical movement, such as The Niagara Movement, Negritude, the Black Panthers, the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and Black Lives Matter. The idea will be to read the theory produced through, by, and for those movements. We’ll ponder on the relationship between the intellectual and the movement: vanguard or rearguard?  Studying contemporary texts alongside classics, we’ll look for the continuities and different trajectories of the concepts yielded by Black radical thought.

The meetings will take place every other Monday at 18:00.
