As PhD student it might be challenging to find the best strategy to publish your work, become visible and learn to speak to the right audiences. During this workshop, prof. Bilgin will share her experiences with publishing both from her perspective as an editor and researcher. The workshop offers a unique opportunity to discuss and ask questions about best practices, dilemmas and visibility. The workshop is open to PhD students across disciplines working on (critical) security studies and international relations.


About Pinar Bilgin


Pinar Bilgin is Professor in International Relations at Bilkent University. She is currently one of the Associate Editors of International Studies Quarterly, and she has served on various editorial boards, among them Security Dialogue, International Political Sociology, and Foreign Policy Analysis. She is the co-editor of the Palgrave book series Critical Security Studies in the Global South. She has received several awards for her work. Professor Bilgin is ACES Visiting Scholar for the Europe in the World Theme Group in June 2019.
