Paula Varsavsky: Humor Negro y Ausencias en las Ficciones de Paula Varsavsky
The Argentinian novelist, critic and scholar Paula Varsavsky will visit the University of Amsterdam to give a Guest Lecture about black humour and absences in her fiction. Her narrative explores the ways in which violence manifests itself in human relationships and across wider society. In Amsterdam Paula will be hosted by the Department of Spanish (Spaanse taal en cultuur) at the UvA and her talk is supported financially by ASCA (Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis). The talk will take place on 31 October from 9 to 10.30 a.m. in room 5.25 (5th floor) of the P.C. Hoofthuis at Spuistraat 134. The event is free, and all are welcome to attend. Please note that the talk will be in Spanish.
